Halifax Resident Qualifies to Swim the English Channel |

(Halifax, Nova Scotia – June 28, 2010) -- Halifax resident Kristin Roe is one step closer to being the first Nova Scotian to successfully swim across the English Channel, considered to be the Mount Everest of marathon swimming.
The marathon swimmer successfully completed her six-hour continuous qualifying swim across the Northumberland Strait on Friday, June 25, covering approximately 16 kilometres in water that averaged a chilly 13.5 degrees.

(Halifax, Nova Scotia – June 23, 2010) ‐‐ Halifax resident Kristin Roe will once again tackle the chilly waters of the Northumberland Strait in order to qualify for a solo swim crossing of the English Channel the last week of July.
